Welcome to Little Haven Farm, a place where the gentle rhythms of nature and hands-on farming come together to promote wellbeing and growth. Here, we support individuals with Special Educational Needs (SEN) by providing a nurturing environment where they can connect with the land, develop skills, and experience the therapeutic benefits of farm life.

Grow and Thrive: A Complete Farm Experience for SEN Learners

We're thrilled to announce an exciting new project designed for SEN & mainstream individuals eager to immerse themselves in the full spectrum of farm life! This hands-on experince covers everything from feeding and caring for animals to managing the health of both animals and crops, giving them an understanding of disease prevention practices. Participants will learn practical skills like operating and repairing farm machinery, maintaining farm buildings, and performing essential outdoor tasks such as trimming hedges, clearing drains, and mending fences. This unique opportunity provides a comprehensive, supportive environment for SEN students to gain confidence, independence, and valuable agricultural knowledge, with the aim of transitioning into a working environment.

Providing you with a safe space to explore all aspects of farming.

Our cozy wooden hut serves as a warm, supportive base where you can prepare for each hands-on farming experience. This welcoming space offers areas for gathering, cleaning up, and sharing ideas after being out in the field. Equipped with PECS, Communication InPrint, and sign language resources, the hut ensures everyone can express themselves and communicate freely. While most of the activities take place outdoors, the hut is a reliable spot to regroup, reflect, and connect, providing comfort and structure to your farm learning journey.

“Working on the farm has been amazing for me. I love being around the animals and helping them, especially the calves. I even helped a calf be born, and it made me feel really proud and important. Being here teaches me new things every day, and the animals make me feel calm. I can’t take buses or trains by myself, but here, I know what to do, and I feel like I belong”
